Components for Globalization of Universities in the Iranian Academic System from the ViewPoints of Experts

The purpose of this study was to Identify the components of universities in the Iranian academic system from the viewpoints of experts. The research was qualitative and the method was interview. The Participants of the study was experts and scholars in higher education in the field of globalization of higher education that 21 people were interviewed based on purposive sampling until reaching the theoretical saturation. After collecting the data, the process of refining, retrieval, categorization and presentation of the findings was carried out by analyzing the qualitative content of the interview texts. Qualitative research evaluation criteria including trustworthiness (equivalent to internal validity in quantitative research), transformability (equivalent to external validity in quantitative research), dependability (equivalent to reliability) and confirmability (equivalent to objectivity) were investigated and accordingly, validity and reliability of the study were confirmed. Based on the results of the study, a pattern consisting of six factors (cultural globalization, political globalization, economic globalization, social globalization, scientific globalization, management globalization) and 26 categories has been drawn that should be taken into consideration for globalization of university. |
