Identifying Social Responsibility in Universities (USR) Using Fuzzy Delphi. Case study: Shiraz University

As one of the most important institutions of a nation, universities, besides educating students, may also participate in the areas of law, environment, ethics and philanthropy which is termed “university social responsibility”. Despite numerous studies in the area of social responsibility, there hasn’t been any customized model for university social responsibility. This study aims to identify dimensions and components of university social responsibility. After studying the literature view of this issue, criteria of social responsibility have been identified and were customized for Universities, using Fuzzy Delphi method. Experts’ agreement on criteria was the basis of decision making process. Experts were asked to rate and finalize 39 criteria identified while studing the literature. In the end, with a 4-round Delphi, 19 criteria have been chosen.
